Cam2Com works on the following Operating Systems:

Supported OS
  • Windows 2000 Professional
All supported cameras.
  • Windows 2000 Server
All supported cameras.
  • Windows XP (including SP2 and SP3)
All supported cameras.
  • Windows Vista
 Only Olympus "Rye" cameras.
  • Windows 7
 Only Olympus "Rye" cameras. You have to run Cam2Com in "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" compatibility mode.

To run Cam2Com in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode, navigate to Cam2ComM.exe; usually it is installed in C:\Program Files\Sabsik\Cam2Com. On 64 bit computers it is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Sabsik\Cam2Com. Right click on the file and select Properties. Within Properties dialog, select tab Compatibility. Within that tab set checkmark on “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” and select “Windows XP (Service Pack 3)”
 

Cam2Com does not work on the following Operating Systems:

NOT Supported OS
  • Windows 2003 Server
 Cameras SDK do not work there.
  • Windows 2008 Server
 Cameras SDK do not work there.
  • NON - Windows OS
 Olympus Cameras SDK do not work there.

Canon SDK works, Cam2Com but was not made for Linux.

Support for these Operating System has been removed, mainly because Olympus RyeDll.dll does not work with them.
