Options dialog, Image Processing tab

The Image Processing tab specifies what to do with pictures after they are taken by each camera.  These options affect all cameras connected to the computer equally.

Do not display pictures after capture   If selected, Cam2Com does not display pictures after capture. Most importantly, it does not decompress pictures for display. Decompressing pictures for display may take a second per picture, so cutting this step out saves time. If you want to see a picture in some camera windows, select a different zoom for that camera. Then Cam2Com will decompress and display only the pictures in the active camera windows you want to see.

NOTE: When taking individual pictures with one camera, this option is ignored.

The area under Automatically rotate images (only JPEG and TIFF) is used to specify the desired kind of rotation. For rotation of JPEG images, a special lossless algorithm is used, so the picture quality does not change after rotation. Rotation of TIFF images never changes image quality.

No rotation   The Pictures will not be rotated automatically. This may save considerable time.

Rotate 90 degrees clockwise   Every picture will be rotated clockwise before displaying on the screen or saving.

Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise   Every picture will be rotated counterclockwise before displaying on the screen or saving.

NOTE 1:  Raw images cannot be rotated.
NOTE 2: When taking individual pictures with one camera, this option is ignored. You can rotate every picture manually.
